The celebration of eternal life began for Sharon Renee Norfleet on Saturday December 22,2012. When the chapters of her life were closed by her heavenly father, Sis Sharon Norfleet departed this life to be with the lord Jesus Christ. Awaiting her arrival is her mother Sylia Ayoung and her father John Valentine Sr and many friends and pre-deceased relatives.
Sharon Renee Norfleet was a Nyack native born August 5, 1959. Sharon attended Nyack public schools in which she graduated from Nyack High School in 1977, shortly after Sharon entered the military and served her country diligently for 4yrs.
After being honorably discharged Sharon furthered her education at RCC where the achieved her AA in Business Administration/ Social Science.
Sharon Norfleet was a loving person to everyone which led her to employment at Edwin Gould Academy. Sharon loved her job.
Sharon always put God first, she gave her life to Christ at a early age. Later on Sharon became an active member at “Rise Up and Walk Deliverance Ministry” where she served on the trustee board. She believed that Christianity was more than just talk, but it was a life-style. Everyday she lived she strive to show her relationship with Christ through her life.
She leaves to cherish in her memory her husband/soul-mate Jesse Lee Norfleet of Spring Valley NY of 21yrs, brother John Valentine Jr (Sheila) of Texas and their children Tamara N Townsend of Georgia, Garland W J Townsend Jr of Spring Valley NY, Courtney L Townsend of Spring Valley NY, Debbra A Hudgins (Ezra) of North Carolina, William D Norfleet of North Carolina and Jesse Norfleet Jr of Middletown NY, 10 grandchildren ( Khenisha, Zhearah, Nyzhairah, Sanii, Zyaire, Jessica, Cynthia, Ezra Jr, Khadisha ) and a host of nieces & nephews, cousins and friends.
Sharon will be missed dearly for her big heart, warm smile and motherly advice.
