Obituary for John Panzera Jr.

John  Panzera Jr.
John Panzera of New City, NY passed away suddenly on Thursday April 12, 2018. He was 78 years. old. He is predeceased by his wife Rose Ann Panzera . John was born in Brooklyn NY to John and Josephine Panzera and was a resident of Rockland County for more than 60 years. After being honorably discharged from the Air Force, John had a successful career in engineering and construction and, later, software programming -- he retired from the Ford Motor Company in 2002. He is survived by an abundant family, including his children Steven Panzera, Jo-Ann Panzera-Vindigni, John D. Panzera, and his wife Naomi Panzera (Ortiz), and daughter-in-law Janet Panzera (Kaner), and his brother Robert Panzera and his wife Connie. He had six grandchildren Michael A. Marsalisi, John N. Panzera, Anthony D. Panzera, Nicole Owen (Panzera), Samantha J. Vindigni, and T.J. Vindigni. John was also blessed with four great grandchildren: A.J. Owen, Hunter Owen, Emily Owen, and Taylor Bradley. John was loved by an even larger extended family and was known as “Grandpa” to many others in the Rockland community.
He loved cooking; gardening and entertaining with his family and friends, John always had a kind word for someone in need and sage advice for those who asked.
The family will receive visitors, Friday April 20, 2018 from 4pm – 8pm at Hannemann Funeral Home , Inc, in Nyack, NY.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday 10 am at St. Anthony’s RC Church, Nanuet, NY

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to {Histiocytosis Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital}.
