Obituary for James E. Norris

James E. Norris, an 18 year resident of Valley Cottage, died on April 14. He was 76. Born in Brooklyn, New York on November 19, 1941 to George and Thelma Norris. James was employed by the City of New York Sanitation Department for 25 years. He retired in 1995. James volunteered for over 18 years at the St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church food cupboard. He is survived by his brother Robert and Margaret Norris of Valley Cottage, a niece Christy and Robert Blanchette of Valley Cottage, a Nephew Robert J. Norris of Georgia, a great-nephew Jack and a great-niece Camille. He is also survived by several cousins.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ann’s Church, 16 Jefferson Street, Nyack on Thursday, April 19 at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Brick Church Cemetery, New Hempstead, NY. Visiting hours are planned for Wednesday at the Hannemann Funeral Home, 88 South Broadway, Nyack from 4:00pm - 8:00pm.
