Obituary for Gretta D. White

Gretta McGill-White was born on July 8,1959 in Grove Hill, AL to the late Annie B. Nobles McGill & Robert McGill Sr. Gretta relocated to New York at a young age. She attended the East Ramapo Schools where she graduated from Ramapo Senior High in 1977.

Gretta married the late Richard Arnold White Sr in 1984. Gretta was a mother of six children. She worked various jobs. Gretta was a great believer in the lord. Throughout her life she became a community mother and childcare provider. Volunteering at the Spring Valley Memorial Park for the Pop Warner league. Her family and friends loved her energy and kind heartiness. She was a personal diary and adviser for all.

She later relocated to Orange county, NY.

Although she is not physically here we can all hear her say... Who is in my house? I love you, bring me back a Pepsi, a Suzy Q, some Lays potatoe chips, or a Big Mac with no cheese. Looking out her window saying “hey, hey watch your mouth” and in response people saying “Oh Sorry Ms. Gretta”, last but not least BINGO! With that being said, we all know she won the biggest jackpot of them all. No more suffering.

Gretta leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Qua'Terrio (Nakita) McGill, Se'Quita McGill, Richard (Christine), Ishmael, Channise White, & Kamaya Morris. Adopted son Bello Louis-Paul. God Children LaShaunda (Mohammed) Kankam, and Ricky Powell. Grand Children Zayvion, Sariye, Tre'Quin, Jada, Alijah, A'Mayah, Se'Keira, Whitney, Zaire, Alasia, Terence Jr., and Richard Jr. Siblings: Deborah McGill, Robert (Barbara) McGill, MaeOla Sue (John) McGill, Rickey (Sherry) McGill, Cynthia (Newton) Hemmings all of New York. Debra (Julius) Jones, Wendell (Marlynda) Pugh, Cynthia (William) Jackson, Robin (George) Dial, Katrina (Hawathia) McGill, Aundraneka (Henry) Harris-McGill, Marquis (Denita)Rankins & stepmom Pearl Rankins all of Alabama.
