May Braun was born June 1, 1927, and passed away June 10, 2018. May was a longtime former resident of Upper Nyack. After retiring from Nyack Hospital she moved to Florida in 1988. In 2011 she moved to North Carolina to be with her daughter Sue. While in Upper Nyack she was active in, and past president of, the Empire Hook and Ladder Company Ladies Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband Bill in 2000. She is survived by a daughter Susan Zimmermann, 2 sons: William J Braun and Robert Braun, and 6 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers she asked that donations be made in her memory to The Shriners Children’s Hospital, or the Community Home Care & Hospice at 222 Stewart Parkway, Suite 100, Washington NC, 27889.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, 10:00am at the Hannemann Funeral Home. Visiting hours will be on Thursday, 3 to 7 at the Funeral Home.
