Obituary for Genevieve P. Gise

Genevieve P. Gise
Genevieve P. Gise passed away on June 16, 2018. She was 92 years old. A lifelong Rockland resident, Genevieve was born at home in West Nyack, NY, to Mario and Mary Porri, and grew up in Blauvelt, NY. She graduated from Congers High School in 1943 and worked as a bookkeeper for Marine Midland Bank in Nyack. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Robert F. Gise, daughter Mary Louise (Matthew) Moore of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, daughter Joanne (James) Mattern of Suffern, NY, and four grandchildren: Christina, Leanne, Grace, and Nicholas Mattern of Suffern. A funeral Mass will be held at Saint Ann's Church, Nyack, NY, at 10 AM on Wednesday, June 20. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to People to People, 121 West Nyack Road, Nanuet, NY 10954.
