When my mother recently lay critically ill in the hospital, my sister and I made the heart-wrenching decision to begin the process of making funeral arrangements. Although it felt premature we were worried about having to make choices, speak to different people, sign papers, pay bills. Based on recommendations from family and friends we selected Hannemann's and made the call as soon as regular business hours opened. Keith courteously took my call and offered a number of different time slots later in the day. When I explained Mom's condition and the fact that I live quite a distance a way he told us to come right down. Keith personally greeted us at the door and welcomed us into his office. He calmly and patiently walked us through the various components for the funeral process and guided us through the different choices and options before. At no time did I feel rushed or pressured in any of the decisions we needed to make. The entire process felt seamless and natural. After Mom died it only took one phone call to Keith to complete the circle. During the actual wake and funeral services Keith and his staff were attentive yet never intrusive. All of our questions were patiently and kindly answered; all or our needs were attended to. The room where Mom was layed out was spacious, clean and tastefully furnished. Friends and family were greeted and escorted in, elderly or those with special needs were assisted promptly. The compassion and professionalism shown to me and my family in our time of sorrow was beyond compare. Hannemann's sets a high standard for other funeral homes to measure up to and I would recommend them without hesitation.
