January 25, 1934—-December 23, 2017
Georgia Ferrante died with her family by her side on December 23, 2017 in Park Ridge, NJ. Georgia is survived by her 3 daughters, Elena Ferrante, Laura Ferrante,and Elizabeth Neville and 3 grandchildren, Matthew Capuano, Conor Neville and Reilly Neville, along with her sons in law, Rich Weissberg, Kevin Neville and Mike Wallace.
Georgia was born in New York, NY but found her permanent home Piermont for over 50 years after marrying Robert Ferrante. She was a chemical lab technician for Lederle Labs until she retired in 1994. She was an avid organic gardener, artist, cook and also loved fishing, horseback riding and bluegrass music. She loved animals and supported many Christian charities. In her earlier years she taught herself yoga, guitar and banjo. She loved and cared for her aging parents, Marta and Sal Verna for years with great love. She was also pre-deceased by her beloved grandmother, Angelina. Her most memorable quality was to always put her family first and was kind and generous to everyone she met.
She will be forever missed. A memorial service will be announced for the spring. Donations can be made to Compassionate Care (Hospice) in NJ or the Alzheimers Foundation.
