Obituary for Audley J. Bullard Jr.
Audley James Bullard, Jr. was born May 21, 1935 and passed away peacefully on March 29, 2018. He was 82 years old.
Audley was known as “Jimmy” to friends and as “Sonny” by his immediate family. He was born in New York City and lived in the Bronx for many years before moving to Rockland County with his family. Early on, he served in the US Air Force and then joined the New York City Police Department where he became a detective and retired after 20 years on the job.
He moved to Florida shortly after his retirement and enjoyed fishing, riding his bike, music and dancing until returning to Rockland County in 2013. He lived in Thiells and then became a resident at Tappan Zee Manor where he passed away. Jimmy loved life and his family. He is survived by his sister: Nellie Bullard, his children: Lucida Plummer (spouse Stephen Plummer) and Eric Bullard, his four grandchildren: Kaitlyn Bullard, Eric Bullard, Jade Bullard and Alexander Plummer and his nieces and nephews.
