Obituary for Audrey Mae Montesano
Audrey Mae Montesano passed away peacefully on July 24 at Nyack Hospital. She was born Nov 21, 1929 to John and Audrey Marie Ford in Eulaton, Ala.
She met her husband Joseph who was stationed at Ft McClellan in Anniston and moved to Piermont. They celebrated 71 years of marriage on July 13th.
Audrey was a member of the Piermont Reformed Church, Piermont VFW Auxillary #7462, American Legion Auxillary #1044 where she had been a past president. She was also a member of the Piermont Senior Citizens Club. Audrey loved to travel all over the world and the US. She had a green thumb and could get anything to grow. She adored spending time with her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Joseph; daughters Laura, Johnnie Sue Popov, son, James; three grandchildren Michael, Valerie and James and two great grandchildren Verity and Hunter. Also, 2 brothers Melvin & Milton and 2 sisters Mary & Sara all in Ala. She was predeceased by her daughter Linda in 2014; her brothers Johnnie, Hershel & Elmer.
Visiting will be held at Hannemann Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 4-8 PM. Prayer service at 7 PM.
Burial will take place in Eulaton, Ala. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Piermont Reformed Church.
