Mary Elizabeth Fleming Loos, daughter of Henry and Mary Fleming, was born in Manhattan, NY on October 15 , 1939. She passed away peacefully on August 26 , 2018 with family by her side. She grew up in Englewood Cliffs, NJ then moved to Upper Nyack, NY where she raised her three children. She retired in Villas, NJ and in the last few years of her life lived in Durham, NC with her daughter. Mary is survived by her husband of 58 years, Alexander Loos, brothers Henry (Barbara) Fleming and William (Ruth) Fleming, her 3 Children, Peter (Cassandra-predeceased) Loos, David (Ellen) Loos, and Mary Martinez, and her eight grandchildren, Alexandra Miller (Paul Manigo), Ashley Atkins (David Araujo), Mary Jo Loos (Lance Cote), Jon Miller (Michelle), Jessica Atkins, Katherine Loos (Marcus Moen), Bennett Atkins, Joseph Martinez (Yazmine) and her eight great grandchildren, Daijha, Vincent, Paul Michael (PJ), Isabella, Lena, Landon, Anthony and Josiah. Mary also left behind many lifelong friends.

Mary worked for many years as an office manager for a medical team in Rockland County, NY. She continued to work in the medical field as an independent EKG technician. She was the proud co-owner of MJ Ceramics in Nyack, NY. Mary enjoyed giving back to the community serving as a life member of the Nyack Volunteer Ambulance Corp. She also worked for Nyack Public Schools for many years as a volunteer. She loved gardening as that was her passion in life.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 11:00am at Hannemann Funeral Home located at 88 S. Broadway, Nyack, NY 10960. In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated for Heartland Hospice, 4505 Falls of Neuse Road #650 Raleigh, NC 27609 https://heartlandhospicefund.org/.
