Marie Viola Gerber
Marie Gerber of Valley Cottage, NY, formally of Odessa, FL passed away suddenly on February 24, 2019. She was 82 years old.
Marie was born on August 27, 1936 to Norina (Barbieri) and John Pollicardi in the Bronx, NY. She graduated from Evander Child's High School. She then worked many years as an executive secretary for Consolidated Laundries in Secaucus, NJ before retiring in 1985.
Marie was a strong, caring, and loving woman who was cherished by her family and friends. She was strong in her faith and she loved to spend time with her family. Marie touched many people's lives. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Marie is pre deceased by her first husband Salvatore Viola, her twin sister Olga, and her husband Edwin Gerber who passed away in July. She is survived by her beloved children, Valerie Luludis (John) and Salvatore Viola; loving grandchildren, Erika Scully (Papo Mounier), John (Kristi), Matthew , Daniel , and Maria Viola; great grandchildren, Makayla , Joseph , Annabella , Liam , and Sebastian. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 4pm to 7pm at Hannemann Funeral Home, 88 South Broadway Nyack, NY 10960. A prayer service will take place at 10:00am at Hannemann Funeral Home, followed by a burial at Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
