Obituary for Vivian Joyce Mack

Vivian Joyce Mack
Mrs. Mack, 88 passed way on Friday, March 8, 2019 at her residence. She was born January 14, 1931 in Chattanooga, TN to the late Reverend Fred D. and Elaine J. Williams. After high school she worked as a nursing assistant at Erlanger Hospital. In her early years she took on many jobs but truly enjoyed her career as a pastry chef and baker at the most prominent Panoram Supper Club in Chattanooga. She also served as church musician at St. Ruth Primitive Baptist where her father served as pastor. Vivian decided she would move her family to Nyack in 1967. She maintained her passion for nursing working for Nyack Hospital until her health began to fail. But her love for playing piano and singing remained unwavering. She served as musician for a number of churches and most recently the St. Charles AME Zion. She would use her gift at any time she was asked and was grateful for every opportunity to do so. She will be missed by her loving family and the Nyack community.
