Condolence: Homer was a kind and caring friend. He was a dedicated husband and Father, and a true example of the Finest of our men in Blue- the Officers of the Law. I always think of him as a Gentleman who cared about everyone: Family, Friends, People he met in every situation. He will be missed more than he could ever imagine. I pray that Happy Memories will soon replace Grief.
My love to all the W's.

Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers are with the Wanamaker family. Although we have been out of Nyack for many years we have always thought of Homer and Bobbie as family. He was a great mentor for me at Empire and he was our strength for our family when my dad passed away 40 years ago this June. He will be greatly missed. RIP Homer.

Condolence: My thoughts and prayers with the Wanamaker family and all of Chief Wanamaker’s friends and colleagues. I had the pleasure of serving as an Orangetown Police Officer and Detective, with Chief Wanamaker. He was a very kind, caring, and responsive leader, who genuinely cared about people and his community. I will always remember his fairness and consideration for all. It was my honor to work with this great man, who was one in a million. May he Rest In Peace and be in the presence of Our Lord.
