Obituary for Maureen E. Nobile
Maureen Elizabeth Nobile passed away peacefully on June 12, 2019 at the age of 76. She was born and raised in Washington Heights, NYC. Maureen was the beloved daughter of Nora & David O’Kane and sister of Kathleen (Geelan).
She began her career at Citibank where she met her loving husband, Vincent. They were married for 52 years during which they made their home in Valley Cottage, New York. Maureen was a wonderful and devoted mother to her two children Jeanine & Greg. She was a nurturing and enthusiastic participant in the lives of her four grandchildren: Michael, Vincent, Oona, and Dylan.
Maureen cared greatly for her local community and parish of St. Ann’s in Nyack, New York.
She was employed by Nyack Public Schools in various roles. She especially enjoyed her time working with children.
Maureen’s spirit, warmth and outgoing nature was widely appreciated and will be greatly missed.
