Obituary for Elizabeth Davis

Elizabeth  Davis
Longtime Nyack resident Elizabeth Cozart-Davis passed away peacefully on July 24, 2019. Elizabeth was born in Sparkill, NY to Richard Henry and Rosa Cozart on November 13, 1925. She was preceded in death by both parents, her husband Edward Davis Sr., and siblings Annie Scott, Monroe Cozart, Henry Cozart, George Cozart, Katherine DeLoach, Theodore Cozart, William Cozart, Mary Perry, Alice Carolina, Aimee Johnson, Dorothy Skinner, Rosa Cozart and Lessie Cozart.

Elizabeth is survived by her brother-in-law Alfonso Johnson of Fl, son Edward Davis jr. and daughters Cathy and Pam, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

Elizabeth worked as a seamstress and as a home health aide. She was a member of the Nyack Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, who enjoyed visiting and speaking to people about her greatest love, her God, Jehovah.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on 73 Rose Rd in West Nyack, NY.

Burial will be private.
