Cecilia Harlan  Tyszczenko
Cecilia Harlan Tyszczenko, 60, died on August 7, 2019 at her home in Chestnut Ridge, NY. Cecilia (Cely) was born June 13, 1959 in Nyack, NY, to Edward and Cecelia Lediger Harlan. She graduated from Tappan Zee High School, Orangeburg, NY and served in the United States Navy in Brooklyn, NY and New London, CT.

Cecilia worked as a pharmaceutical technician for CVS Pharmacy in Paramus, NJ. She was an avid New York Yankee fan, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Cecilia is survived by her beloved husband, Alex; son, Andreas and his wife Holly; grandson, Joseph; mother Cecelia Harlan; two brothers, Edward Harlan and Br. Michael Harlan, O.F.M.; three sisters, Brenda (Robert) Caputi, Terri (Paul) Dertinger, and Clare (Paul) Starink. Cecilia is also survived by her aunts, Mary Clifford and Joan Lediger; several sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Edward Harlan and brother, Kevin Harlan, as well as several aunts and uncles.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 11, 2019, from 1-6 pm at Hannemann Funeral Home, Nyack, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 12, 2019 at St. John the Baptist Church, Piermont, NY at 11 am with burial to follow at Rockland County Veterans Cemetery, Spring Valley, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franciscan Friars of Holy Name Province, 144 West 32nd Street, NY 10001-3202 or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 4594, New York, NY 10163-4594.
