Condolence: Dear Growney Family,
What a strong, loving, loyal lady "Betsy" was. I have fond memories of her. Her sense of humor, family and dignity were an example of just who she was. ALways ready to give welcome advice to me as a young wife and Mom. May she rest in peace.
To EM and the Growney Boys and their families- thinking of you at this very difficult time, but I know she would want you to carry on. Sending love and light to you all.

Condolence: Dear Mike and family,

Not only was Betsy a pillar of the Grace's Thrift Shop but personally I will miss her. I will particularly miss all her stories of my mom and the South Nyack neighborhood. She always made me laugh. Betsy was always willing to share golden retriever stories as well. She was a tireless worker at the shop wearing many hats as desk manager, treasurer and executive board member. A valued life well lived.
May your many memories lighten grief.

Condolence: Mr. Growney and family, I am so truly sorry to learn of your loss. May the light of God shine down upon you with many blessings, and may Betsy rest in Heavenly peace.

I was so hurt when my cousin, Firth Fabend, informed me yesterday, Saturday the 17th, of Betsy's passing. It was only the day before, the 16th, that we were speaking of Betsy not knowing she had passed on.

Betsy and I were close friends in Junior High, sharing a locker together and sitting next to each other in one of our classes. I had a physical handicap and Betsy was always there for me.I had the pleasure of meeting her again 20 some years ago. She was also my dentist's receptionist and I got to speak with her now and then.

Condolence: Dear Mike and family,

We are so very sorry to learn of Betsy's passing. I have known and loved her since we were in second grade, and Carl since 6th grade. She was a wonderful woman who gave so much of herself to her family, friends, and community that we will all feel bereft for a long time to come.

With deepest sympathy,

Firth and Carl
