Obituary for Semo P. Sennas

Semo P.  Sennas
Semo Peter Sennas, born in the Bronx, New York on August 6, 1941, passed away suddenly on Monday, November 18th, 2019. Semo was a lifelong resident of Upper Grandview where he and his wife, Fran raised their children, Stacey and Christopher. He lived the last several years in South Nyack and particularly enjoyed the view of the new Tappan Zee Bridge.

Semo was the loving son of the late Doris (nee Skarpedas) and Peter Sennas. He is a graduate of the Nyack High School Class of 1959 and of Pace University. He is also a brother in the Sigma Chi International Fraternity.

Semo enjoyed a successful marketing career that spanned more than four decades and included executive positions at Nestle and Fromageries Bel, Inc. Semo was a committed member of Grace Church where he served on the Vestry for many years. He was a former Board Member of the Nyack Field Club and President of the Monday Morning Quarterback Club. He was an avid player of tennis, platform tennis, and pickleball and especially enjoyed playing golf in his retirement years and winters spent in Florida.

He is survived by his loving wife, Fran; son, Christopher (Mary) of Park City, Utah; son-in-law, Thomas McGowan of Newport, Rhode Island; and grandchildren Ryan, Casey, Christopher and Siobhan, as well as several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his sister, Fay and by his most cherished daughter, Stacey – 9.11.2001.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 11 AM at Grace Episcopal Church, 130 First Ave. Nyack, NY 10960
