Obituary for Catalino P. Maisonet

Catalino P. Maisonet aka CAT

Rockland County, NY

Catalino Maisonet 76, died unexpectedly on January 13, 2020 in the hospital. He was surrounded by his immediate family. Born in 1943 in Puerto Rico, the son of Catalino and Carmen.

A Combat Veteran of the Vietnam War, serving proudly with the United States Army.

Cat a long time resident of Rockland County for over 20 years and a retired bus driver for Triboro Coach bus company, after 30 years of service.

Cat married his green eyed beauty, his Love, his wife Migdalia Maisonet of 52 years who sadly was predeceased in April of 2017.

At the age of 46 he had his first grandchild, a girl named Daviree Nicole who he called "The Apple of his Eye". He spent most of his free time with Daviree throughout her 30 years and up until the very end, Daviree stood by his side as his long term caregiver and truly deeply loved her PopPop very much.

Cat loved camping with his family and friends most whom were his coworkers at Triboro Coach. He loved to play dominoes and dancing salsa music with his wife and daughters.

Dad/PopPop you were a father that lead by example, our source of encouragement, a good listener, you provided the necessities of life, you respected all of us and at every level you loved us very much!

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his youngest daughter Nicole Maisonet whom never married, but had a beautiful daughter Madison, her one and only child. She loved Madison with everything she had.

He is survived by his oldest daughter Desiree Leigh.

Cassandra Marie and King Patrick

He absolutely loved his son in-law Patrick and Daviree's husband Jose

He also leaves behind his 2 dogs that his wife loved very much

A service of remembrance will be held at 10:00 am on Monday
January 20, 2020 at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church located at
16 Jefferson Street
Nyack, NY 10960
