Theresa M. Serratore, 77, of Valley Cottage, NY, died peacefully in her sleep on April 2, 2020, at her home. Born on April 19, 1942 in Norwood, NJ, she is survived by her husband, Francesco (Frank) Serratore of Valley Cottage, NY.

Theresa was a T.A in the Nyack Public System for over 40 years; working primarily with special needs children. She was very involved in her community in a variety of groups and had many friends. She loved the sun and often traveled to Hollywood Florida every winter where could often be found by the “2 twisted palm trees “on Hollywood beach by day and at Jackson’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream Parlor having a giant chocolate ice cream cone by night.

She was a loving mother of 3 children, William (Maria) Serratore of Mt. Kisco, NY, Elizabeth (Chris) Caselnova of Nyack, NY and Frank (Deborah) Serratore, Jr of Nyack NY; and devoted to her 6 grandchildren: Francesco 23, Carmelo 21, Joseph 15, Giuliana 12, Frankie 10, and Rosalie 7.

The family wishes thank all those who extended emotional support for Theresa during her illness.

At this time during the national health crisis, a funeral service is not possible; however a service in celebration of her life will be held in the near future, when permitted.
