My friend Yo

I met Yolanda at Helen Hayes 6 years ago, I was 20 year old in a new job, scared of this new place. Yo trained me in multiple positions and was always on top of her game at work. My first reaction was she reminded me of my grandma a strong hardheaded Italian woman with a heart of gold. Yolanda not only became my coworker and friend but she became like family to me. Sharing her dinners with me & giving me advice to always stand up for myself. We always would check in on each other, we both tended to push our selves a little too far and then crash. Yo always had my back, she spoke her mind to everyone and sometimes a little to much, that sometimes got her in to trouble. We talked daily for at least 20 minuets at a time. She loved to gossip and the get the scoop of what was going on, she taught me that karma comes in full circle and everyone will have their day. I lost a great friend and I am missing her soo much already. A woman with such a story, always beating the odds and coming back on top. She was one tough cookie and she left an everlasting mark on my life. I'll be waiting to see a butterfly my friend <3
