Obituary for Lois Bullock

Lois  Bullock
Lois Ann Bullock was born August 26, 1939 to the late Clifton Roger William Oakley and Annabelle Coles at Nyack Hospital. She was the only child born of this union.
She departed this life on April 3, 2020 in Montefiore Nyack Hospital after brief illness.
Lois was raised in Piermont, New York and attended Sparkill Grammer School and graduated from
Tappan Zee High in 1957 where she was a member of the honor society. Upon graduation she ventured north to attend Keuka College, Keuka Park, New York where she graduated with a degree in Business.
Upon graduation she returned to Piermont to marry her neighbor, since the age of 5, on August 8, 1959.
She was a “stay at home mom” in the early days and raised three children, Chanda, Clifton and Charles Jr. Her family was most important to her.
Lois retired from the Nyack School District – Liberty Elementary in Valley Cottage New York as a Teacher Assistant (ESL/ELL) in 1998, after 23 years of employment.
Lois started attending St. Charles AME Zion Church including Sunday School in her youth. She later joined the church in November 16, 2003. She was a faithful member of the Stewardess Board, Life Member of the Women’s Home & Overseas Missionary Society, North Carolina Club, Lay Council and Bible Study group which she enjoyed tremendously.
Her hobbies included gardening, reading, traveling, quilting and interior decorating.
Lois leaves to cherish her loving memory, her husband of 61 years, Charles Edward Bullock Sr.; Brother in Laws William (Judy) Bullock, George (Sue) three children Chanda, Clifton and Charles Jr. Two granddaughters, Jessica and Lian. Two great grand daughters Sanai and Jaiyah and 2 step grandsons : Armond and Jason. Also, her last living aunt, Mildred Oakley Page, of Durham, North Carolina and a niece (Doris). Nephew Lawrence and a host of loving cousins.

A private graveside burial was held on Wednesday April 8, 2020. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
