Condolence: Good guy here. Always redirecting the topic, when I asked him how his treatments were progressing, to my mother's hospital status. Walking up to me before mass asking me my mother's name - so he could say a prayer for her. I moved to Nyack 10 years ago - he was the most decent man I've come to know around here. Sorry for everyone's loss

Condolence: Lydia, Mrs Arlotta, Gloria, Camille and Marie: Joe came into our families lives as an angel sent from above, to keep an eye on our brother. The relationship went from caretaker, to friend to Joe being "our brother from a different mother" - he became part of our family. I am heartbroken for you his immediate family but please know that there is another group of heartbroken families that loved Joe dearly and a day will not pass that we will not think of him, talk to him and pray to him & for him. Lydia - how can we ever thank you for being so gracious about sharing Joe will all of us. Joe - now you are truly an angel but your job is not done. We're counting on you to keep a watchful eye on all of our "special family members". Rest in Peace and I hope You Laughing with The Angels. I will miss you always.

Condolence: I have no words that can express fully the sadness I feel for all of our Arlotta family at Joseph's passing - in a special way my heart breaks for Aunt Gloria who has experienced horrible tragedies in her life. I will always treasure the texts I exchanged with Joseph over the past 2 years - I hope in some way the love and prayers I sent him brought him some comfort. This is a terrible loss and the pain and grief will take a long time to heal. I love you all and send hugs, kisses, as I pray for your strength.

Condolence: Joe... I remember the first day I met you. I was being dragged to Tanglewood because I was not trusted to be home alone and I was sitting in the living room moping when you walked in. You didn’t just walk past me like everyone else did or suggest that I sit somewhere else because I was being annoying you just said “You want some ice cream?” those 5 words could bring up any 9 year olds day in a split second. After that followed the dozens of pranks we would do to my grandma who I call Baba then by you hearing that you called Baba. I’m sure that being called Grandma by her coworker wasn’t her intention but I found it hilarious. One time we covered her whole computer in sticky notes. And we gave her a new tissue box with only 1 tissue in it. My favorite is when you gave her an employee of the month plaque every month and she was so confused because nobody else had ever won. I could name other funny story’s but you’d spend the next 30 years reading them. Joe was a great man. He cared for everybody he met and always knew how to brighten a day. He asked me to sing at his wedding. He could have asked anybody in the world. People who base there whole profession on it and who are 100x better then me but he didn’t ask them. He asked me. He always came to my shows. Even if they were a major inconvenience to him. He was an amazing man and he was taken to soon.

Condolence: Lydia my angel,Momma Arlotta, Beautiful Arlotta family. My heart is broken. With you, for you. Joe meant the world to me. He meant the world to 14 of my favorite people. He gave me so many memories his 60th birthday, Lydia's birthday, his wedding, Tanglewood Christmas Parties, letting the folks draw on his head on Valentines day. He blessed our lives daily. He was an inspiration. He barely missed a day of work during chemo. He kept us laughing even when I knew he was hurting. I miss him so. My prayers are with you. I love you.
