Obituary for Dwayne R. Foreman
On Saturday May 9,2020 Dwayne Ross Foreman Sr was called home by the Lord to a place of eternal peace,without sickness or pain.
The world has lost a great father,brother,uncle cousin ,and friend.
Dwayne was born August 4,1967 in Bronx New York. He later on relocated to Congers New York at the age of 5 and years later moved to Depew Avenue in Nyack New York. During Dwayne young adult years he lived in Spring Valley New York then in 2014 moved to Valley Cottage New York.
Dwayne always had the love for basketball which he played on the team at Nyack High school which he graduated from in 1986. Following High School Dwayne attended Elizabeth City State University located in Elizabeth City North Carolina which he majored in Criminal Justice.
Dwayne always a mentored to kids and made it his duty to encourage them that they can achieve anything they want as long as they apply themselves. He provided many skills and on several occasions provided rides outside of Rockland County for basketball games and basketball
tournaments. His gentle sweet spirit,inviting smile ,infectious laughter, inspirational talks,love for helping others and endless wisdom will be missed by so many who loved and respected him,and his strength and his love for family was a true inspiration.
Dwayne worked for the county of Rockland for 18 1/2 years as a mental health worker. Also he worked for the state and government in the mental health field over the years.
Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Elizabeth Foreman,also his sister Deborah Foreman. He leaves to celebrate and cherish his memories of his daughter Porscha Foreman, son DJ Foreman,brother Reginald Foreman, sister Carol Foreman,extended family,and a host of nieces,and nephews which held him in the highest regard and loved him.
A graveside funeral will be held at Brick Church cemetery 220 Brick Church road Spring Valley New York 10977 at 11:30 am.
