Obituary for Patricia Louise Begbie

Patricia Louise Begbie (Orbine)

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our mother Patricia Louise Begbie. Patricia passed away peacefully on August 13, 2020 at the age of 87.
She was born on November 27, 1932 in Blandburg, Pa. She is preceded in death by her husband Douglas (Dubert) Begbie, her parents Jack and Annabelle Orbine, her sister Bernice Martin (Orbine), and her cherished canine children Pointer and Kandi. She is survived by her two sons Douglas and Michael, her sister Sally, her three brothers Jack, James, and Gary, nephews Alan, Walter, and Gregg, and nieces Tracy, Pamela, and Debbie.
Patricia was a loving mother and devoted family member. She always put her family first with thoughtful gestures and an indelible sense of humor. She started working at a very young age and continued the same through all her years; having worked most notably at Troxell’s store, Lederle laboratories, Waldenbooks, and the Middletown school system. She will always be remembered for the little things that brightened the most trying times; simple gestures like supplying her family with one of the first televisions in Blandburg, making sure her younger brother Jim got his first suit, and hand making a Halloween costume that was voted best costume at Lee Road Elementary School. There was never a time when her family went without and making sure they never suffered the least bit of hunger pain. She cherished fun times with family, friends, and neighbors; having been one of the original members of her neighbor ladies bowling team “Chet’s Chicks” and consistently hosting “May I” card games.
She will never be forgotten, will always be missed, will always be loved…..and we will cherish our many fond memories.
