Obituary for Norma K. Reiman

Norma K.  Reiman
Norma K. Reiman of Central Nyack, NY, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2020, at the age of 98 under the loving care of her family. Norma was born in Central Nyack, NY, on July 20, 1922, daughter of the late George G. and Mae (DeMartini) Quick.

Norma was a graduate of Nyack High School, Class of 1941. She was employed by Lederle Laboratories in Pearl River, NY, as an accounting supervisor from which she retired in 1988. Norma was a parishioner of St. Ann’s RC Church in Nyack. She and her husband Frank enjoyed listening to music and traveling together. Her favorite artists were Mantovani and Pavarotti, and she enjoyed vacationing in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey and Sebasco, Maine. Gardening was one of her passions in life, and she enjoyed sharing her flowers and vegetables with family and friends. Norma was very sociable and loved it when friends or family would stop by for her “happy hour.” She always had lots of cookies and sweets to share with everyone. Norma always had a positive and cheery outlook on life, and her favorite phrase was “just keep living.”

Norma is predeceased by her husband Frank J. Reiman, who died in 2006, as well as her sister, Lorraine M. Lowery, who died in 2019.

She is survived by her brother-in-law James A. Lowery of New City, NY and her devoted nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, godchildren, and caring neighbors.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at 11 AM at St. Ann’s RC Church, 19 Jefferson St., Nyack, NY. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Nyack.
