Obituary for Catherine A. Caputo
Catherine Caputo, age 85 of Sparkill, passed away peacefully on December 15th 2020.
She was born June 17th 1935, daughter to the late Frank and Louise Melia.
Catherine was born and raised in Rockland County, where she is survived by her 5 children – Richard Trubiroha (Elizabeth), Deborah Bettmann (Michael), Darlene Schuhknecht (George), Thomas Caputo (Robin), and Louis Caputo (Stephanie). Remembered as a loving Nanny and Great-Nan to 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Throughout much of her life, she was a homemaker and devoted to her grandchildren. She enjoyed listening to music (Bobby Vinton, Patsy Cline, Willie Nelson), word searches, puzzles, and spent her early years vacationing with her family.
Catherine was a strong, gracious, sincere woman. She will be known for her beautiful, welcoming smile.
She will be missed deeply by family, and numerous friends. Catherine is forever in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to https://www.alz.org/hudsonvalley
