Obituary for Raymond "Crabman" Holmes Jr.

Raymond “Crabman” Holmes, Jr. was born at Nyack Hospital on June 11, 1942 to Dorothy and Raymond Holmes of Piermont, NY. He served in the US Navy, was Superintendent of the Piermont DPW, a police officer with the Piermont Police Department and a proud 60+ year member of the Piermont Fire Department.
He is pre deceased by his wife of 50 years, Lois. He is survived by his 3 daughters Karen, Jennifer (Michael) and Dana and 4 grandchildren; Kenny, Allison, Kaitlyn and Daniel. He is survived by his 4 siblings Clarkie, Bryant (Betty Ann), Sharon and Terry and his 13 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his brother in law Ronnie Brandt of Rutland, VT, and his best friend of 74 years George Flobeck (Sharon) of Piermont, NY.

While his first love was Lois, close behind is his beloved town of Piermont, NY. Raymond loved the River, the Pier and the members of the Fire department most of all.

A Funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM at the Piermont Pier, Piermont, NY.

In lieu of flowers, we ask a donation is made to the Piermont Fire Department or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
