Obituary for Robert J. Wisner
Robert J. Wisner, of Nyack, New York died of natural causes on Saturday December 19th, 2020 at the age of 79 at home. Bob, was born August 8, 1941 to Harriet and Steve Wisner and grew up in Mount Vernon, New York with his brother Joseph Wisner.
Bob married his wife, of 45 years, Barbara on November 26, 1966 at Holy Family Church in New Rochelle. Shortly thereafter they chose Nyack as the place to raise their family. Bob and Barbara lived in their Nyack home for over 30 years where they raised their two children.
He worked as an architect in New York City specializing in hospitals. He did many projects including homes and renovations locally in Rockland and Orange counties. The largest was the renovation of Letchworth Village in Stony Point, NY.
Bob loved athletics and the outdoors, he competed and coached crew for many years and volunteered his time with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 6 of Nyack. He looked forward to his vacations in New Hampshire at Camp Wulamat with family and lifelong friends every year.
Bob was predeceased by his wife Barbara, his memory lives on with his loving family. He is survived by his son Robert (Tanja) and daughter Jennifer (Paul) and his grandchildren, Allison, Abigail, Justin, Hayden, David and Cooper.
When the current restrictions and dangers are lifted the family will have a celebration of his life.
