Obituary for Alan R. Frae
Alan Robert Frae, 82, loving husband, father and Poppy passed away at Westchester Medical Center, surrounded by his family on Wednesday January 27th 2021.
A life long resident of Nyack, Alan attended Nyack High School and graduated in 1956. He was married in 1964 and recently celebrated his 56th wedding anniversary. He was a life member of the Nyack Fire Department and was dedicated member of Nyack Fire Patrol on Park St., he held many positions including Captain, Lieutenant, Engineer and Financial Secretary.
Alan was a route salesman for Hostess Wonder Bread for 26 years. Working his whole career in the South Bronx.
Alan loved spending time with his five grandchildren, whom he adored,
He was kind, caring and a loving man. Everyone loved him for his great stories and sense of humor. He was the life of the party. He was a simple man who loved to spend time with his wife and enjoyed a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Alan is survived by his wife; Ruby, Son Scott (Bernadette), Daughter Kristin LoNigro (Craig), Grandchildren Kelsi, Jack, Carli, Scott and Kate, Brother-in-law Nils Mathsen and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Raymond Frae and Connie Frae (Pinkus)and sister Roberta Mathsen of Airmont NY.
A Celebration of Alan's Life will be held at Grace Episcopal Church in Nyack, NY on Saturday July 31, 2021 at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to: People to People, 121 W Nyack Rd, Nanuet, NY 10954
