Christine Harris-Charles was born in Jefferson, Alabama in October 1946. Christine was the youngest daughter of Joseph and Sindy Harris. Chris graduated from John Essex High School in Jefferson at the age of 16. Christine moved to Nyack NY in 1962 to be with her siblings where she lived for many years. Christine retired from Rockland Psychiatric Center in 2003, and from that point she dedicated her life to family and God. Chris saw the best in everyone and did her best to make all she met feel loved. Chris was faithful and strong and was the back bone of her family. She is predeceased by her parents Gullie and Sindy, her daughters Gwendolyn and Cindy, sisters Lottie, Annie Lee, Mary Louise, Marydell, Inell, Lucinda, brothers Peter, John Henry, Darby, Frank, beloved niece Nellie Joe and sister in Christ Trudy Gulifield. Left to cherish Christine’s memory is her husband Anthony of 50 years, her siblings Cleo, Johnnie (Mary), Dillie Mae, Emmanuel and her children Glenda (George), Christopher, Tonimarie (Richard), grandchildren Kristen Jordan, Taylor, Correy, Khamani, Jayson, Christopher, Richard Jr and one great granddaughter Jordynn.
