Condolence From: Dan Donovan
Condolence: Sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I worked with Bill for several years when he was on the desk of The Journal News in Harrison. Always kept his cool in the pressure cooker of a daily newspaper's newsroom.

Condolence: Sending my deepest condolences to Bill's family and all of his loved ones. I've had the honor and pleasure of working with Bill for over four years in my first real job out of college. Given my shifting roles within the company, Bill was one of the few constants for me and he was a mentor in so many facets of my life, professionally and personally. I miss him deeply and my thoughts are with everyone mourning the loss of a wonderful person like him.

Condolence: Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss.

I had the privilege and pleasure of working with Bill at the Daily Record when he was news desk editor on the copy desk.

I could not have asked for a better mentor and fun-loving supervisor. He was very impassioned by journalism and that seeped through to his colleagues. I actually still have my very first Page One that I designed under his tutelage and he was kind enough to frame it for me.

There was always laughter in Bill's presence as the puns flew around the newsroom. I will always hold those years near and dear to me.

Condolence: Bill was one of the nicest people you'd ever meet. When I started at NJAM, he sat near me and was one of the first to introduce himself and offer advice as I learned the ropes of the job. Quick with facts and words of advice, he was a staple in the newsroom that many looked to. I will cherish his wise words of wisdom throughout the years. Rest easy my friend. My sincerest condolences go to Bill's family and friends.

Condolence: My deepest sympathies. I worked with Bill at the newspaper and he will be greatly missed. I remember when we first started in 2014, Bill probably had the oldest working iPhone I had ever seen. He was certainly a kind, caring soul, which I greatly appreciated as this was big transition from my former workplace. Bill, thank you for everything.
