John Petras, age 93, passed away on Sunday April 9, 2017 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was born in Piermont, NY in 1924 to Constantine and Mary Petras. He attended Piermont Schools and worked for Robert Gair/Continental Can Company for over 40 years. He was predeceased by his parents, his sister Amelia Kolb and brothers Frank and Richard Petras. He is survived by his wife Marie Pace Petras of Belmar, NJ, a daughter Rosemary O’Donnell (James) of Little Silver, NJ and three granddaughters and his Godson Andrew Kolb III of Goshen, NY and many nephews and nieces. He was a longtime resident of Tappan, NY before moving to Belmar, NJ. Funeral Services will be private.
