Anthony V. "Tony"  Moschella
Anthony ''Tony Nero" Moschella of Valley Cottage, New York passed away on August 18, 2017 at the age of 78. Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, Anthony is the son of the late Nino and Josephine (Pirrone) Moschella.
From an early age he owned several Mr. Softee ice cream trucks and then went on to open a used car dealership. He married the love of his life Rose Depalma and they had two children, Renee and Marc. Tony moved his family to congers, NY and opened another successful business called Nero's Pad, from which he quickly acquired the famous nickname "Tony Nero". He also had several other businesses in Rockland through the years, Sweet Tomato I and II restaurants and the Nyack Grande Catering Hall and Grande Centrale restaurant.
Tony's pride and joy was his family, his wife of 56 years, his two children and his four grandchildren. He was a great brother and a loyal friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Tony is survived by his loving wife Rose, his daughter Renee Spinelli (Tommy), and his son Marc, his four grandchildren Alexa Brigante (Russell) and Gia and Anthony and Marissa and his brother Carl (Cathy.) and his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm at the Hannemann Funeral Home Inc. in Nyack, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Ann's Church in Nyack, NY at 11:00 am on Thursday, August 31, 2017.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Ln., New City, NY 10956
