Kathleen Hand "Kay" Goria
Kathleen Hand Goria “Kay” of Upper Nyack, New York, died on Monday, March 9, she was 99.
Born June 2, 1920 in Rossie, NY to John Edgar & Catherine Elizabeth McHugh Hand. Kay has lived in Upper Nyack for the past 80 years. After graduating from High School, she worked at the Pulaski and Rockland State Hospital. She then started her over 40 year career with Lederle Laboratories Pharmaceutical Company in Pearl River. During Kay’s retirement she cared for many animals; all dogs were the love of her life.
Kay is predeceased by her four brothers, John, Leo, Patrick Hand, and Harold Lowery as well as by three sisters: Eileen Derushia, Mary Eleanor Rowell, and Ursula Coffey. Kay is also predeceased by her longtime companion of over 30 years, John Toto. Kay is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great, great, great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, March 16 at 10:00am at St. Ann’s Church, Jefferson Street, Nyack with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
