Carol Jackson
It is with deep sorrow and regret that the family of Carol Jackson announces her passing on August 3, 2021, to the House of the Lord. She was born July 23, 1949, in Nyack, NY and preceded in death by her parents James and Ruth Jackson, longtime partner Willie Mark Boone, Sister Mamie White, Brothers Fredrick White, Steven White, Richard Nash, Walter White. She is survived by her daughter Maia Jackson-Carswell, Son-in-law Lee Carswell, granddaughter Jazmin Lanelle Jackson and 2 grand pets. Her siblings Christine Jackson, Cynthia Jean-Charles, and Barbara Carnes, as well as 14 nieces and 16 nephews. Carol was a valued employee of Nyack Head Start during her child’s formative years and worked at Rockland County Psychiatric Hospital for 25 years as a therapist aide and retired April of 2002. Carol was a known member of the community of Nyack, she enjoyed having fun and she was the life of the party, always smiling and making others happy. She has many friends in the community and enjoyed spending time with her family the most she will be remembered for her big smile.
