Obituary for Antoinette “Ditty” Naglieri

Antoinette “Ditty” Naglieri
On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, Antoinette “Ditty” Naglieri, beloved wife and mother of two daughters, passed away peacefully at the age of 89.
A lifelong resident of Piermont, NY, Antoinette was born on May 22, 1933, to Carmine and Theresa (Mercurio) Pagnozzi. On June 19, 1955, she married the love of her life, Frederick M. Naglieri, and together they raised their family. She is survived by her daughters: Stephanie and her husband Art, and Michele and her husband Rich; two grandchildren: Kristen and her husband Sean, and Christopher; three great-grandchildren: Adriana, Ava, and Sean Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
With a strong passion for cooking and entertaining, Ditty and her brother John opened the “The Spot with the Million-Dollar View,” The Hudson Terrace, in 1961. The restaurant was truly a family affair, employing her children as well as her many nieces and nephews. The restaurant, like her home, was open to everyone; she will be remembered fondly for her welcoming spirit, open heart, countless Italian specialties (especially sausage bread) and freshly brewed coffee.
Antoinette was predeceased by her husband, Frederick; her parents: Carmine and Theresa; and nine siblings: Joseph, Patrick, Mary, Samuel, Americo, Anna, John, Rose, and Lucy.
A wake will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2022 from 1 PM to 6 PM at Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 AM on Monday, December 19, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Church in Piermont. Burial to follow at Rockland Cemetery. Family and friends are kindly invited to attend.
Donations in Antoinette’s memory may be made to Empire Hose Co. #1, 554 Piermont Ave. Piermont, NY 10968.
