Obituary for Linda D. Pagnozzi

Linda D.  Pagnozzi
On Friday, February 10, 2023, Linda Diane Pagnozzi passed away at the age of 73.

She was born on October 23, 1949 to Paul G. and Agnes Matrafailo. Linda was a life long resident of Nyack and Piermont, NY, graduating Nyack High School in 1967.

She is survived by her son William P. Hicks and his wife, Elisabeth, grandson Patrick Pagnozzi and granddaughters, Anjelica Pagnozzi and Jacquie DeCesare (Sean), her stepdaughter, Marie Pagnozzi (Gene), brothers Paul G. Matrafailo II (Barbera), Robert Matrafailo and sister Karen Matrafailo, along with her closest and dearest friend, Liz and Kevin Fagan and many nieces and nephews. Linda is predeceased by her parents, sister Denise Banta (Bob), close friends Donna Lynch and Lawrence "Tex" Goswick.

Linda was retired from Lamont Geological Observatory in Palisades, NY. She was a member of the Orangetown Ladies Auxiliary of the Nyack Fire Dept. from 1972 - 1976. She then became a member of the Empire Hose Company #1 Ladies Auxiliary of the Piermont Fire. Dept., was a past President and Lifetime member.

Linda was one of those people that made friends everywhere she went with her affectious smile. She had a loving and caring heart, a great sense of humor and everyone mattered to her. Her door was always open and would be there for everyone. You would always find her at the kitchen table with a pot of coffee and cake for anyone who stopped over.

The memories and stories we all have of Linda will live in our hearts forever. She will be greatly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing her.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in her name to the Empire Hose Company #1 and Ladies Auxiliary of the Piermont Fire Dept. Piermont, NY.

Arrangement are being handled by Hannemann Funeral Home, 88 South Broadway, Nyack NY 10960
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16th from 3PM - 8PM. Mass services will be held on Friday, February 17th at St. Ann's Church, 16 Jefferson Street, Nyack, NY 10960 at 10 AM with burial immediately following at Rockland Cemetery, 201 Kings Highway, Sparkill, NY.
