Obituary for Sean M. Stockmeyer
Sean Stockmeyer, a long-time resident of Upper Nyack and Suffern, NY, passed away on Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, at the age of 50. Born on March 26, 1973, in Nyack, NY, to John and Catherine (née Monaghan) Stockmeyer, Sean was an inquisitive and bright child. His early life in Nyack shaped a man who would forever be curious and eager to explore the world and the depths of imagination.
Sean studied engineering and channeled his education and innate ingenuity into becoming a pioneering entrepreneur. His ventures not only showcased his intelligence but also his belief in pursuing ideas with relentless passion. Sean's life was a testament to the idea that with enough perseverance, any vision could be brought to life.
More than his professional achievements, Sean was a man of the world in the truest sense. He lived his life according to the principle that experiences were the true wealth of existence.
Sean's legacy is carried on by his mother, Catherine Stockmeyer of Nyack; brother, Eric Stockmeyer of Brooklyn, his wife, Merlyn and their daughters Hailey and Zoe of Suffern, and his sons, Jax and Marco of The Philippines. Sean believed life was an adventure to be embraced, and his absence leaves a void in the hearts of those he touched.
Friends may visit on Sunday, February 25, from 1:00-4:00 PM at Hannemann Funeral Home, 88 South Broadway, Nyack, NY. A service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 26, at Hannemann Funeral Home, followed by interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, Nyack, NY.
