Obituary for Clifford Whatley
Clifford Whatley, 83, passed away on Saturday March 23, 2024. He was a beloved brother, Uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Clifford Whatley was born on February 21, 1941, in Opelika, Alabama. where he spent his formative years. He left school at an earlier age to provide a better life. Clifford joined Pilgrim Baptist Church when he moved to New York in 1972. later Clifford became a Senior sanitation workman in the town of Nyack, New York for many years. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.
More than anything, Clifford was a devoted uncle. He loved spending time with his nieces and nephews, sharing stories, and watching his favorite TV shows. He was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges anyone faced.
In his free time, Clifford enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing cards, gardening and of course playing his numbers, and was always eager to share his knowledge and enthusiasm with others. He was a major fan of baseball, with his all-time favorite team the New York Yankees!
Clifford is survived by his loving family his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
