Obituary for William Callanan

William  Callanan
William T. Callanan passed quietly on Thursday, January 26, 2017, with family at his side. He was born August 23, 1963 to Robert Callanan Sr. and Marianne Callanan. He was a loving son, brother, father, and uncle. He was a 23 year employee of the South Nyack Village Department of Public Works. He was also an active volunteer and lifetime member of Highland Hose Company 5 of the Nyack Fire Department, holding many positions, including Captain. He was an avid fisherman and a long time devoted Pittsburgh Steeler fan. Bill was known as someone who worked hard, played equally as hard, and, very much loved his family. Bill was predeceased by his parents Robert Sr. and Marianne Callanan. Bill is survived by his daughter, Katelyn Callanan, who he adored, his nine brothers and sisters, Robert Callanan Jr., Karen McManus, Linda Auweloa, Richard Callanan, Raymond Callanan, Maureen Adragna (Adam), Kevin Callanan (Elizabeth), Ken Callanan, Patricia Bates (Devin), and, by his many nieces and nephews. Bill is also survived by his loving girlfriend Camille Arlotta Brickman.
