Obituary for Peter Henry Sinnott Jr.

Peter Henry  Sinnott Jr.
Salisbury, NC - Peter Henry Sinnott, 53 died peacefully after a short battle with cancer on January 7.

Peter was born on January 27, 1965 at Nyack Hospital to Christine and Peter Sinnott, both predeceased. He was a lifetime resident of Nyack until he was relocated to North Carolina by his company Acosta where he worked as a grocery space technologist.

Peter faithfully served the Nyack community as a proud member of Jackson Hose #3 for 35 years. During his time with the fire department, he held all three line officer positions, served as President and Vice President as well as Commissioner of Jackson Hose until 2014.

In addition to his many friends and extended family, Peter is survived by his sister Renee and brother-in-law Andrew Schaefer, his brother Frederick and his sister-in-law Jillana, and his sister Jennifer and his brother-in-law Peter Freer. He is also survived by his adoring nieces and nephews: Daniel and Megan Schaefer, Peter, Henry and Olivia Freer and Briana Sinnott.

Visiting will take place on Friday, January 11 from 5-9 P.M at Hannemann's Funeral Home located at 88 South Broadway in Nyack. The Nyack Fire Department will conduct a Firematic Service at 7:00 P.M. on Friday evening at the funeral home. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M. on January 12th at St. Ann's Church at 16 Jefferson Street in Nyack. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery immediately following the mass.
