Obituary for Giuseppina Sacco


Giuseppina Sacco of Nanuet, NY died Thursday, June 6,2019 at Joe Raso Hospice in New City, NY. She was 91. Mrs. Sacco was born in the US, but was taken to Italy as a child. After marriage, she emigrated to Argentina with her husband Antonio and daughter. In 1957, she came to the US and lived in the Bronx until 2005 when she moved to Nanuet. She worked for years as a seamstress creating dresses for major department stores. She enjoyed reading, travel, gardening and making home-made pasta for the family to enjoy. She is survived by her daughter Flavia Silvestri of Nyack, granddaughter Pia Silvestri of New York City and a brother, Armado La Scala of Westchester. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday at St. Anthony’s Church in Nanuet. Visiting is Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at Hanneman Funeral Home, 88 S. Broadway, Nyack, NY 10960.
