Obituary for Leroy May
Leroy May departed this life peacefully on June 21, 2019. He was born on March 3, 1929 in South Hill, Virginia.
He was the first of five children born to the late Benny May and Hannie King May. He served during the Korean War in the United States Army from 1951-1953.
He settled in Nyack, NY and worked for many years at Grant Pulley Hardware, in West Nyack, NY until he retired. He married Bertha Carlas Mosley in 1992. He enjoyed watching the NY Mets.
Leroy is survived by his loving sister Wallicia Tisdale, a host of adoring nieces, nephews, step children. relatives, and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife Carlas, one brother Thomas, two sisters, Gladys Everheart, and Helen Tisdale. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be Friday June 28,2019 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Home going Service will be held at 11:AM, at Hanneman Funeral Home 88 S. Broadway Nyack, NY, followed by burial at
Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
