Obituary for Jamal L. Ladson Sr.
Jamal Ladson Sr. was called home Friday, November 15th, 2019, he was 38 years old.
Jamal Ladson was born December 2nd, 1980 in Brooklyn, NY to Zorenia Govan and the late Leroy Ladson. Jamal graduated Edwin Gould Academy in 1999. He became an active member of 81st precinct in Brooklyn, NY as an Auxiliary officer and a member of Jackson Fire Engine in Nyack, NY in 1999. Jamal was a laborer for the Village of Nyack D.P.W since 2006.
Jamal is survived by his wife Jacqueline Ladson, daughter Jaira Ladson, son Jamal Ladson Jr, mother Zorenia Govan, sisters Lashanda Everett, Carlene Pearsall, Tiffany Deas, brother Matthew Phillips, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, God children, and in-laws.
Home going services are planned for Saturday, November 23 at 11:00am at Pilgrim Baptist Church, corner of Franklin & High Avenue in the Village of Nyack. A wake will be held at the Church from 9am – 11am. Jackson Fire Engine Co. #3 of the Nyack Fire Department will conduct firematic services at the church at 10:00am. Private cremation services will be held after the services.
God has given him rest. He will be missed.
