Obituary for Lawrence F. Albohn

Lawrence F.  Albohn
Lawrence F. Albohn passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 9 th, 2020. Lawrence was born in the Bronx NY, March 31 st 1948 to James and Rose Albohn. He was a carpenter and was an active member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local # 279 since November 2nd, 1955 (over 55 years). He moved to Rockland County in 1972. He was an avid walker and loved horse racing and playing poker. He was an active member of AA and proud of his sobriety. He had been sober since, September 20 th 1982. Larry had a special love of Doo Wop music and enjoyed going to concerts. His favorite artist, by far, was Kenny Vance. He saw him over 100 times! He was a snowbird for years, but recently moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL permanently, to enjoy the warmth and sun on a full-time basis. He was predeceased by his brother, James Albohn, Jr. and his first wife, Genevieve Albohn. He is survived by his two sons, Damian and Justin Albohn, his granddaughters Genevieve and Lucille Albohn, his daughter Jaime Albohn, his two sisters Patricia Albohn - Mcullough and Rosann Albohn - Kubis, his second wife, Gail Petty Collins Albohn and his loving partner Diana Koch.

Visiting will be held on Monday from 2PM - 4PM and 6PM - 8 PM at the Hannemann Funeral Home, Inc. in Nyack, NY. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at 11 AM at Woodlawn Cemetery Bronx, NY.
