Condolence: Ma chère tante, ma marraine est partie.
Elle avait fait ses études à l'université de Sherbrooke, au Canada, à la faculté des Sciences Infirmières. C'était une infirmière gestionnaire, consciencieuse,perfectionniste qui aimait son travail.
La première fois que je l'ai vue, j'avais 11 ans. Elle était partie quand j'étais très jeune et je n'avais aucun souvenir. Quelle stupéfaction! J'étais plus grande qu'elle. Je l'ai prise dans mes bras et nous avons fait le tour de la maison. Elle aimait raconter cette histoire en ma présence.
Ma marraine était petite, mais c'était une grande dame, fière,intéressante,dynamique, une boule d'énergie, une belle femme.
Aujourd'hui, tu n'es plus là, mais ta présence extraordinaire dans ma vie y sera à jamais.
Tu es devenue une étoile qui brille dans le firmament, entourée de ton cher mari,de papa Moise, Ninninne et de ta soeur et tes frères dont mon père Georges.
Veille sur nous tous, plus particulièrement tes enfants Jacky, Rony, tes petits enfants, tante Mamo et tout le reste de la famille.
Ce fût un plaisir de faire partie de ta vie.

Condolence: To my beloved Mommie Mado, my tatie.
Mommie Mado was a great listener, she carried a great amount of burdens on her shoulder. She always had time to listen to everyone’s problems, especially mines. She felt my ups and downs without judgments or condemnations. She was everything to me: my sister, my mommy, my friend, my confident, my fixer, my rock. Whatever anyone told mommie Mado you knew she would take it to the grave with her, and she did. She was empathetic, sincere, wise, caring, understanding, patient, nurturing. She was a MASTER NURSE, an OUTSTANDING MOTHER, an accomplished first-class woman, all that at only “6-foot-tall”.
She gave so much of herself unselfishly, without complaining. Mommie Mado will always be forever my MOMMIE MADO, M’AMOUR MOMMIE MADO.

Condolence: My dear aunt Mado, I remember the great times we spent with each other. I will miss our conversations in person and on the phone. You always playfully reminded me of the time one summer in Saintard at Ninninne's house you borrowed one of my favorite shirts and I mumbled to you "ou pa manmam encore" (you are no longer my mom). To my younger cousins Malik and Ronald, your mom is now resting in peace and is watching over you from heaven keeping you safe. I am sure that all your other cousins and other relatives located in Canada, United States and Haiti are praying for you and love you too. Stay Strong and take good care of yourselves.
