Obituary for Constance J. Bosco

Constance J Bosco(Gutowski) of West Nyack,wife of the late Philip J. Bosco, was born March 12, 1933 in Roslindale, Massachusetts. She passed away peacefully at Nyack Hospital with her family by her side on April 6, 2023.
Constance, also known as Connie, was born to her late parents, Pauline A. Taylor (Pryszmont Gutowski) and Victor Gutowski. She is survived by daughters Stefanie Chiappetta(Sam), Paula Bosco Goldsmith(Robert) and Valerie Bosco-Ryan. She also is survived by her loving grandchildren Annmarie Chiappetta-Levitt(Austen), Andrew Chiappetta and Victoria Bosco-Ryan. She also is survived by her sister, Irene Joyce(late Edward) & nephew, Michael Joyce, her sisters-in-law Helen Lee Colman(John), Louise Midlin(Richard) and Marianne Quinn(late Timothy), along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
In August of 1955 Connie and Phil were married. Phil always told the story of how won he her wedding dress on the defunct TV show “The Big Payoff”. Constance graduated from Matignon High School in 1951. She attended and graduated as a Dental Hygienist from Forsyth Dental School and Tufts College in 1953.
Connie also co-owned New City Beverages and Route 59 Beverages. Later, she opened a party supply store, Balloons N’ Stuff, in West Nyack in 1991. Connie took great care and joy in helping customers to make family gatherings more special. It made her happy when they came back to celebrate occasions from Birth to Weddings.
Constance was a longtime Parishioner of Saint Anthony’s Parish. She was a longtime member of Blessed Mother Sodality. Connie worked in the Bingo kitchen and volunteered in the classrooms of her children at Saint Anthony’s Parish School. Constance, a former Red Sox fan, became a METS fan and enjoyed watching the
games with her family. Connie enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening and DIY projects. Connie was a longtime Republican Clarkstown Committeewoman receiving a distinguished service award in 1992. She was also a member of the Rockland County Girls Scouts Board.

Respects can be paid at Hannemann Funeral Home, Friday, April 14, 2023, from 4pm to 8pm in Nyack.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Anthony’s Parish Church, Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:00 am in Nanuet.
