Obituary for Nicolas Irizarry

Nicolas Irizarry
Nicolas Irizarry, age 48, passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family, in Palm Harbor, Florida, on June 1, 2023. Nick was born on March 17, 1975, in Bronx, NY, the son of Nicolas Irizarry and Joan (Slaker) Irizarry.

Nick graduated from Nyack High School, Class of 1993 and continued his education at Rockland Community College. He later returned to school at Lincoln Technical school and received his certification in HVAC, which turned out to be his passion.

Nick met the love of his life, Corrina, in 2005 and they were married in 2007. They just recently celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary and the two of them were the perfect match. They loved, adored and challenged each other, every single day. Together they took on carpools, soccer games, chorus concerts, school plays, basketball games, proms, high school graduations, college move-ins and more. Although stressful, Nick and Corrina enjoyed the time spent together cheering on their girls.

Nick was a proud employee of JCC of Nyack, NY. There he enjoyed fixing and maintaining the buildings and pools. He met many long-time friends and thoroughly enjoyed going to work every day, which is rare. He appreciated all the love and support the JCC family showed him during his battle.

Nicolas was the most loving husband and it showed in all the surprises, plans and words he said to Corrina. If Corrina could dream it, Nick could make it for her. He never said no and was always supportive. He was patient, kind and affectionate, everything you would want in a husband. He was a great friend and would run to help friends when they were sweating because their A/C stopped working. He was someone everyone could count on, and he did it with a smile.

Nick is predeceased by both his parents as well as his brother, Frank Irizarry.

He is survived by his loving wife, Corrina Irizarry, his daughters, Morgan, Hailee and Rylee, his sister, Tricia (Irizarry) Prentice and her husband, Russell Prentice, as well as his niece and Goddaughter, Alyssa Prentice, nephew Trevor Prentice., niece Charlotte Lynn, nephew Zachary Lynn, and nephews, Andrew and Christian Bailey, and his Aunt Terri and Aunt Maryann. He was also survived by many more cousins, aunts and uncles who cherished him. Many have loved him, and all will miss him.

Family and close friends will join together for a private Celebration of Life for Nick.
